About Us – Celebrating the Soul of Uzbek Craftsmanship

UzArtisan.com is a digital platform born from a deep partnership with the Association “Hunarmand” of the Republic of Uzbekistan — the country’s official body dedicated to supporting and preserving traditional folk art and craftsmanship.

Founded under Presidential Decree No. DP-1741 (March 31, 1997), the Association “Hunarmand” unites over 27,000 artisans across Uzbekistan, including weavers, ceramists, woodcarvers, embroiderers, metalworkers, and more. It is a self-governing, non-commercial, and non-governmental organization established under Uzbekistan’s laws governing public associations and civil society institutions.

UzArtisan.com was launched with a singular goal:
To bring the best of Uzbekistan’s handcrafted artistry to the world.

We aim to:

  • Provide a trusted global platform where authentic Uzbek handmade products can be discovered, appreciated, and purchased

  • Empower artisans by giving them access to fair income opportunities and wider markets

  • Preserve endangered techniques and cultural heritage through sustainable trade

  • Connect heritage with modernity by offering traditional crafts for contemporary living

Every product featured on our platform is handcrafted by master artisans who have inherited their skills through generations — some of whom are officially recognized as People’s Masters or UNESCO awardees.

We craft handmade treasures that reveal the soul of your space — bringing warmth, heritage, and life into the places you already call home.

Why UzArtisan?

In today’s world of mass production, true craftsmanship is rare.
UzArtisan.com stands apart by offering only 100% handmade, authentic items directly sourced from artisans in Uzbekistan.

We work closely with regional craft communities to curate a wide range of high-quality items, including:

  • Ikat (Adras & Atlas) textiles from Margilan

  • Ceramic tableware and décor from Rishtan and Gijduvan

  • Hand embroidery from Bukhara and Tashkent

  • Wood carvings and architectural elements from Khiva and Samarkand

  • Metal and jewelry work from ancient cultural centers

Each piece tells a story — of history, identity, and craftsmanship — rooted in the land of Uzbekistan.
